Kent warehouse catches on fire, cause under investigation

KENT, Wash. — A warehouse in Kent caught on fire Wednesday morning.

The Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority says the fire broke out after 2 a.m. in the area of 80th Ave South and South 206th Street.

When crews arrived, they said flames were already shooting through the roof.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A nearby fire

While crews were at the warehouse fire, a separate commercial fire broke out a few blocks away on 83rd Ave South. There, eight people were evaluated by firefighters and paramedics, and one person was taken to a nearby hospital. Firefighters also administered oxygen to the rescued dog. The cause of this fire is also under investigation.
