Trooper’s patrol car hit while responding to crash on I-5 in Federal Way

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol says one of its patrol cars was hit Thursday morning.

It happened around 2 a.m.

Troopers were blocking the HOV lane on northbound I-5 at South 272nd Street in Federal Way, responding to a crash at the time.

The trooper was not in the vehicle at the time and was not injured.

The other driver was arrested for DUI.
